Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence - MCEDV is the only statewide organization whose primary goal is ending domestic abuse in Maine. The Coalition's work includes: providing services for victims of domestic abuse and their children; public education and school-based prevention programs; training for volunteers, professionals, and others; monitoring of batterers' intervention programs; developing public policy and supporting legislation that protects and empowers victims of domestic violence and holds perpetrators accountable; and providing visibility and a voice to groups that have traditionally been silenced. |

Rape Response Services - This site has been specially designed for the college population in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties, with funding from the justice assistance council, Maine Department of Public Safety. The specific schools included are: University of Maine, University College, Husson College, Beal College, Eastern Maine Technical College, Bangor Theological Seminary. Although this site has been designed for college students, much of the information can be very useful if you want to learn more about sexual assault, if someone you know has been sexually assaulted, or if you are a sexual assault survivor. |
